Habib looked down at Epona a little of his fear going away but not much. "I don't know if I like it here" He had laid down to rest for the first time in three days. Habib had been to scared and worried to lay down or eat very much. Now he felt the weariness overcome him.

"I want......."HAbib started but stopped, he thought about it. What do I want? He asked himself. Food? Water? Love? A friend? That was it Habib wanted a friend. He had had one once when he was really young just a few days old and his mom and him were out in the pasture with another mare and foal. The other foal and him were friends till they tool Habib away. "a friend" he said finishing his sentece.

Habib was laying on his side by now his head close to Epona. Habib was weary about having a two legged friend. All they had brought him was pain, suffering and loness. "How will I know that you will not hurt me, strave me?" he asked before he could stop himself.

"IS there?" Habib asked as if not sure "I have not see the good" He moved so that he was not on his side with his head on the ground but still laying down. He didn't even know what good, kindness was. He had never felt it from anyone.

Habib sniffed the carrot. He had never had one before. Other horses had talked about them and how people would feed them to you if you were really good. He eat, chewing it slowly it was hard to say how it tasted but it tatsted good. He nudge Epona for another one.

She smiled and took a full sized one from her pocket and gave it to him , holding it in the palm of her flat hand for him.

Habib took it and chewed. They good as the others made them sound. Habib wander if epona had anymore. "That was really good" he said. In the little amount of time that Epona had been there Habib had talken the most then he ever had in his own life.

"No, but i have heard about them from the other horses at my old barn" Habib said, it was weird that everything still linked him to his old home. He didn't know if he missed it or if he didn't. After all if that is the only thing you have never known was a stall you might miss it too.
