I'm Epic. He replied. Greatful to be speaking again.

"Well, nice to meet you Epic." She smiled half-heartedly and walked over to the stag, "Why are you here anyway?"

Likewise. Replied the stag. I actually wasn't planning on being here, to be exact.

"Then how did you save my life?" She smiled gratefully and edged closer to the stag.

I can't really watch anyone kill themselves because they believe that life has nothing more to offer them.

She thingyed her head, looking bewildered, "I have no one. No one to love, no one to befriend."

I have no one because I choose to have no one. Epic said dully. It's not clear to me why that is, but it's just the way things are.

"I would've jumped, if you hadn't have come. Nobody else would've saved me from a horrible death, I have no one. My parents hate me, and my mate is dead." She sighed.

He nodded his dial. My own mate chose to end her life. She was always a mystery to me, but her death was unexpected.

"I dunno why he chose to end his life, either. He actually had a good life, except for my foal dying..." She sighed wearily.

I see. Epic said, pitying her slightly.

"Yes, it was a skewbald palomino filly, beautiful. But it was stillborn. I guess he just couldn't deal with losing a foal, and almost losing me." She stated with a sigh.

That's harsh. Epic said, having a breif flashback about when he'd descovered his mate's torn corpse. He closed his voids and pushed the memory from his mind.

"Yes." She simply imagined her dead mate's body, flung over the cliff, wincing.

Painful was what it was, Epic figured before he grimanced slightly. But even though terrible things befall us, life goes on. He spoke lowly.
