Sage frowned. I'm so sorry. He turned his skull and raised a soft, smooth muzzle to Dream's shoulder, lightly nudging it, but quickly pulled it back. He didn't want to make her feel uneasy, not after such a hardship. He turned his gaze back ahead of him, as the pair entered the shade of a few large trees. |

She nuzzled him in return , her velvetine maw touching softly to his nape. Thank you.She said queitly and walked on slowly , her energy almost spend now.

He slowed under a large tree, shade sheltering his back from the exhausting sun ahead. He lowered his smart skull to the floor, tearing the greens to energize his weariness. A small flick of his tail shooed the pestering flies, and brought his skull back up to gaze at Dream. He swallowed, and spoke. Did you love them? His auds directed at her maw, waiting patiently for her response. |

Lyrics flowed from her maw. Of course I love them!She snapped then her voids went soft. Oh , I'm sorry....She said, wishing she hadn't been harsh.

He smiled, resting the tip of a hind hoove. Don't worry about it, honey. It's alright. His skull streched out far as he shook his neck, spooked by the sudden prick of a fly. He settled back, speaking. Well, if you love them, his orbs softened, then they'll always be with you. He nodded. Inside your heart, in your veins, in your soul. |

Sage tosed his mane and stamped a hoof. So, you like the water? He smiled and turned on his haunches, trotting lightly into the water. He waded in, turning his head to glance at Dream, orbs soft, a smile playing at his maw. His daggers suddenly left the lake bottom, skull going under the surface for just a moment. Then, he rose again, swimming lightly in a small circle, head drenched and forelock hanging limply from his head. |

He smiled and kicked his hooves, swimming out a little deeper, teasing her to follow. Long tail floated sweetly on top of the water, tassels soon joining, as only his head stayed above surface now. The sun beat dwon upon his orbs, but now his body was sheltered by the liquid, and he felt calmer knowing that the sun wasn't seeking to burn his skin any longer. His dark eyes watched intently as the mare joined in the water with him, still far and shallow. |

Cool liquid lapped at her pelt , soaking it with the water. A smile found it's way onto her ksisers , creasing the gray hinted maw slightly , revealing pearled ivories as she moved closer , the refelcetions on the water surface breaking as she made ripples go through them.

The stags head hit underwater once mor,e then he pulled himself up, and silently swam closer to Dream, careful not to get too close. He watched her servey the water, her reflection. |

She saw him closer and smiled soflty still.She crained her dial and snapped it out , splashing him with cold water against his pelt. She smiled playfully at him.

The stag dodged as the water was sprayed at him, but was not successful in getting away. He was splashed with the water, soaking him even more. He swam in, and quickly nudged Dream's neck before diving his own muzzle down, pulling it up, and sending a spray of water back at her. His strong legs worked quickly, pulling him back out of ranged of the mare, orbs glistening with excitement. |

For some strange reason the water seemed to give her more energy. She half reared , voids dancing with light and playfullyness.She came down , daggers striking the sandy bottom , sending small waves over him. She nickered softly , smiling for real for the first time.

The studs eyes twinkled. He swam slowly back towards her, and moved in a light circle around her. Sage reached out with his maw, and slowly lipped her mane, strongly holding her gaze. He moved back, releasing the tassels to swim out deeper again, the water warming his senses, seeping into his viens. |
