She slept on now peacefully ,her eyes sfotly closed , pale face relaxed. She was dreaming now.

In her dream she was walking down a path , the world...grey. She opened her eyes , though still actually asleep.

She smiled weakly back at him.Her canine teeth were a bit sharper than most people's , so her friend Katie always called her a vampire , just joking around with her. Rachel lay , relaxed , against the bed , him in the chair next to it. She reached her other hand that wasnt in his to the cup of water he had gotten for her and drank a few mroe sips before setting it back down. Her blue eyes caught the moonlight and reflected it , shining deeply from it , her dark circles underneth them not as noticable when her eyes were shining. Her pale skin showed the blue veins in some places , making her look sickly as she was. She rested against the bed , and eventually fell back asleep again.
A month passed , and Rachel hadnt gotten any better.In fact she was getting worse. Now she rarely didnt have the oyxgen mask over her now extermly pale face , and had many bruises from the IVs up and down her arms. Now she lay back in her bed , breaths soft , eyes closed though she was not asleep.Jake was at home with Dixie and the twins. She was wearing , of course , a light blue toned hospital gown ,the blankets kicked off by her . It had taken a while to do this however , but she didnt like the scratchy blankets so she made the effort to get them off her each time they were put on her. She had a servere headache at the moment , and felt like curling up into a ball ,falling asleep , and never waking up again unless she would be better when she did.

He dozed off into a light sleep still holding her hand. He ahd stayed by her side these past weeks and now a month he loved her more than anything in the world.

She looked around the room wiht tired eyes. The docters recently had decided Rachel needed a marrow transplant. At the moment they were testing Jake to see if he had the right kind.
