She had some memories now. One of waking up the mourning after their honeymoon in his arms , others of things such as first kiss , she remembered enough to know the reply to what he had jsut said. I love you too.

The Doctor came back in , holding her stepiscope[sp]Okay, we are jsut going to chekc your babie's heart beat wiht this.She said wiht a fake smile , instructing Lacey on how to sit while she did this. The woman pressed the earpeice to Lacey's stomach , but didnt get a heart beat.

Lacey looked up , not being able to bring herself to ask why. Part of her didnt want to know , didnt want to know that the baby wasnt alive. The doctor felt sympathy for the couple , for she knew they ahd a missacairrge here.
